Returning an item
You have 30 days to send anything back, for any reason. And if it arrived damaged, incomplete or nothing like the listing, Buyer Protection covers it and the return costs you nothing.
Changed your mind
30 days from delivery, no reason needed. You pay the return postage and we refund the item price once it's back with us in the condition it left.
Something arrived wrong
The Buyer Protection fee on every order pays for this. Damaged, incomplete or not as described: we send a prepaid label and refund the item price, the postage and the Buyer Protection fee.
How a return works
- 1
Tell us within 30 days
Open the order in your account and choose 'Return this item'. You don't have to give a reason. If something arrived damaged or isn't what the listing described, say so and add photos — that makes it a Buyer Protection claim, and we cover the postage.
- 2
We send you the address
For a change-of-mind return you post it back yourself, with a courier of your choosing. For a Buyer Protection claim we email you a prepaid label instead.
- 3
You post it back within 14 days
Send it back in the condition it reached you — bagged, boarded and in a rigid mailer. A comic that comes back creased, read or damaged in the post isn't resalable, and we can only refund what we can sell.

You get refunded
Once it arrives and we've checked its condition we refund to your original payment method, within 10 working days. It's usually much faster than that — the limit is there because some banks are slow to post a refund, not because we sit on it.
Covered
- You changed your mind — no reason needed, 30 days, you cover the return postage.
- The item arrived damaged — creased, torn, water damaged or bent in the post.
- Part of the order is missing — a missing issue from a bundle, or a missing poster or insert that was listed.
- The item is significantly not as described — a much lower grade than stated, the wrong issue, or a reprint sold as an original.
- The item never arrived and tracking confirms it.
Not covered
- Damage that happened after delivery — read, creased, spine-rolled, marked or bent on its way back to us.
- An item returned without the bag, board or protective packaging it arrived in.
- Anything sent back more than 30 days after delivery, or posted more than 14 days after you opened the return.
- Minor wear that was described in the listing or visible in the listing photos.
Condition matters
Every listing is a single graded copy, so a return goes straight back on the shelf at the grade we published. That only works if it comes back as it left: in its bag and board, in a rigid mailer, unread.
If a returned item arrives creased, spine-rolled, marked or damaged in the post, we can't sell it at the grade it was bought at. We'll tell you what we found, with photos, and either refund what the copy is now worth or send it back to you — your choice. Comics and magazines are read in an afternoon, and a shop can't survive people buying an issue, reading it and sending it back to fund the next one.
Time limits
Open a return within 30 days of delivery, and post it back within 14 days of opening it. For a Buyer Protection claim, tell us within 2 days of delivery if you can — the sooner we see photos of the item and the packaging, the easier a courier damage claim is to settle.
Over Christmas: orders placed between 25 December 2026 and 27 December 2026 can be returned within 35 days rather than 30. The shop is shut and nothing is collected on those days, so the clock shouldn't be running while you couldn't post anything back anyway.
What you get back
For a change-of-mind return we refund the item price. The return postage is yours to pay, and the original delivery charge isn't refunded.
For damaged, missing or misdescribed items we refund the item price, the Buyer Protection fee and the original postage, and the return label is free.
Refunds go back to your original payment method, within 10 working days of the return reaching us. Most land in two or three; the longer figure is there because some banks take their time posting a refund once we've sent it.
Your legal rights
Nothing here reduces your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from delivery to cancel an online order for any reason, and in that window we'll also refund the standard delivery charge you originally paid. Our 30-day window is longer than the law requires; days 15 to 30 are ours, on the terms above.
Under the Consumer Rights Act, an item that is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described is our problem to put right whatever this page says — that's what Buyer Protection is for.
Returning to the shop
You're welcome to bring a return into the shop at 289 Southwark Park Road, Bermondsey, London SE16 3TP instead of posting it. Bring the order number with you.
